Goal: Draft a nine-hitter lineup and see how close you can come to a perfect 162–0 season.
A slot machine deals you a random franchise and decade from across baseball history. You pick one hitter from that team-decade's roster into an open spot. Nine rounds, nine players. The team and decade are rolled independently, so you'll see every era and franchise over a run.
Don't like the deal? Re-Roll Team keeps your decade and re-rolls the franchise; Re-Roll Decade keeps your franchise and re-rolls the decade. You get one of each per run, so spend them wisely.
Each hitter can play one or more positions (listed on their card). When you draft them you choose which open spot they fill. The DH is a wildcard that accepts anyone, so save it for a great bat that doesn't fit elsewhere.
Eras aren't equal. 50 homers in the 1920s isn't 50 homers today, and a .330 average meant less in a high-offense era. Every stat is normalized against that decade's league baseline and scaled to a modern reference, so players from any era compete fairly. A monster year in a pitcher-dominated era can out-score gaudier raw numbers from a hitter's era.
Your lineup is rated in six categories: R, HR, RBI, SB, AVG, OPS. Each is measured against an elite benchmark (about nine top-tier seasons). Balance matters and one weak category drags the whole season down, so a lineup of pure sluggers with no speed leaves wins on the table.
Stronger, better-balanced rosters win more of the 162. A perfect 162–0 is rare and demands excellence across all six categories. You also earn a GM grade (F to A+) reflecting overall roster quality.
Real players and stats from the SABR Lahman Baseball Database, including the Negro Leagues. Each team-decade lists every hitter with at least 20 games in that decade, and the numbers shown are from that player's best single season with the team. Those stats get era-adjusted behind the scenes when your record is simulated, so hitters from different decades are compared fairly.

Player stats come from the SABR Lahman Baseball Database, a comprehensive historical record of Major League seasons, with Negro Leagues data licensed from Seamheads. Each team-decade lists every hitter with at least 20 games in that decade, and the stats shown are from that player's best single season with the team. When your record is simulated, those numbers are era-adjusted so players from different decades compete on a level field.
